Proposed Port land mixed use development

The government of Trinidad and Tobago are preparing for a massive investment in the capital, Port of Spain over the next 10 years. An important driver for the island’s oil based economy is the development of the capital as the premier business city in the Caribbean.

Environmental Associates
(EA) have been commissioned as urban designers and landscape architects to develop a comprehensive masterplan with a team of international consultants for 4.5 miles of the capital’s waterfront. The development plan will incorporate a new rapid rail system also being worked on by EA, relocation of the port and associated facilities, options for a new city airport, and the creation of a new city highway.
