In 2006, five business bodies— the Tobago Chamber, the Trinidad Hotels and Restaurants Association, the Tobago Hotels and Tourism Association, the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Industry & Commerce and the Association of Real Estate Agents (Area) — formed a committee to determine land ownership in Tobago.
